About TowaDB

TowaDB is an unofficial archive dedicated to preserving the history of Nihon Falcom.

This effort began as Ys Database (YSDB) and has grown into a home for Falcom's official materials: artwork, assets, visual and development materials, interviews, and more, all within one repository. Everything is organized so you can find what you're looking for with filters or a quick search, with appropriate credits and sourcing.

Translations

Much of Falcom's history is shrouded in mystery. Our interviews are translated by AZOTH, TowaDB's in-house translation team. Wherever we can, we show the original Japanese beside the English, so readers can check the source for themselves.

Where we're headed

We want to bring Falcom archival together in one place and connect with other fan projects, building a network of resources that's open and easy to use. In the long run, we hope TowaDB becomes a knowledge base where players can learn about the studio and its history, and trace its legacy through to the games they're playing now or might discover next.

The team

TowaDB was designed and built by nine, with translations, archiving, and graphics provided by the contributors listed.

Not affiliated
